Ok heres the deal. I purchased chromecast (re-furbished at that) last year in July when i moved into my new apartment. I downloaded the Chromecast (now google cast) app with no issues. It worked great with my iphone. Now, i have since moved to a residence with a different internet provider. They use time warner cable but apparently, purchased a belkin wireless router. Now when i try to DL, my phone cannot find chromecast under wi-fi. I called and spoke w/ support team members for literally hours. First guy told me to call my internet service provider to get the access point disabled. When i did call, the lady told me to contact someone from Belkin instead since they issue the wireless router. So i called and the rep informed me that my warranty was expired, and that in order to continue helping me with my problem, i had to purchase their support..for $29.99. I said forget it. I called chromecast support again, and this time the rep was able to access belkins wireless router website and walk me through disabling access point. Eureka! I was back on baby! After having netflix on for quite some time, i looked at the tv screen and the app was stuck on the "Are u still watching" part. I unplugged and re-plugged to restart or refresh the app. Next day when i was about to cast, i noticed no device was found. Now here i am..back to square one, and I am so ready to give this next rep who answers my phone call a piece of my mind. Why didnt it save???

Bought for PlayStation Vue. So both PlayStations fault and Cromecast but cant play some of the stations on mobile devices.

Honestly, Google is loosing its creativity and quality. I don’t trust Google products and services like I used to.

Love this app just need them to add Amazon Prime and this will be a great app

Makes it easy to find apps that use Chromecast.

Whenever I leave my wifi network that has the chromecast, when I get back I have to restart my phone before I can connect to it. This happens with all streaming apps to the chromecast. Once they fix that I will adjust my rating.

I wanted to stream certain sites that didnt have chromecast API built into their apps. Now I can. Easy peasy.

Existing functionality works perfectly fine. I feel when having large TV why search content on my phone. A mix of using this app as remote and UI on Tv would be awesome add on. An interface like what Amazon Stick or Apple TV has on the TV.

Old chrome cast use to work with my iPhone 4 and my iPhone 6- now it does work at all- either goggle or Apple has done something to the software so it is not compatible anymore- DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE A IPHONE

This app works great, no problems on my iPhone 6s or 3rd generation iPad. The people with issues are either doing something wrong, (I dont see how when its so simply my 3 year old cousin could do it), or they need to get off of dial up and upgrade their internet to something decent. And if you connect this to the opposite side of your house where you already have bad wifi this is not going to work well, its common sense. THIS PRODUCT ROCKS!!!!!!

The setup was super simple and works flawlessly.

The app and the device itself work. I dont have to reset anything or mess with it. However, theres no screen mirroring option, or if there is THAT element is not working. The available apps that will stream are incredibly limited. There either need to be more compatible apps or screen mirroring.

None of the apps will connect to my Chromecast. I keep getting an error message that I need to exit and try again. Ive even tries resetting Chromecast, but to no avail. It just doesnt work.

I just plugged in my chromecast after not using it for a few weeks. Its pretty awesome that now (even after a factory reset of the device) the app will not connect to my device at all.

Ive got a chromecast 2 and had no issues setting it up. I only bought this device because the PlayStation VUE app does not support AirPlay. Im disappointed with Sony for not allowing AirPlay but am relieved that chromecast works perfectly so far for my first day with this new device.

So, I just went to use my Chromecast, and it seems to have killed itself. Not there anymore. Thanks for breaking the product you sold me. Without even running an update Google has stolen the last product I will ever buy from them.

Shouldve known that everybody involved with Google with an iOS device theyre going to lock you out with basic functions such as Spotify airplay or AirPlay anything else all to make a buck with the software lock its our hardware let us do what we want with it

Since the new update I get an error (Google cast device was manufactured for a different country and may not be compatible with your wifi network) thats the reason I got it to cast my programming when I travel. It used to work. shame

My devices are frequently disconnected from the chrome cast, and now the entire thing has crashed so bad it disconnected itself from everything and wont even reconnect to my wifi during setup.
