I have a hard time connecting to it. Keeps freezing.

The day before everything was ok then instead of chromcast it is now Google cast which I do not buy

Return your purchase to the store. Dont even try to find a workaround. Useless Google, as always. Buy yourself an apple airport express.

My Chromecast stopped working right after the update...

Worst device Ive ever purchased. Havent had it work once because it wont connect to my network. Hey, 1990 called and would like their wifi issues back. Absolutely pathetic in this day and age. This is as bad as googles last attempt at wifi streaming devices. Garbage.

Sometimes the picture casts but it jumps. So the little pause actually takes out dialogue so you really cant live with it this way. But its a good way to cast a Samsung tablet on the TV. At times the words dont match the mouth. At times it just stops casting. I found a way to close it down altogether and then cast again and it worked perfectly but after the last upgrade that doesnt work anymore. So sometimes frustrating.

iPhone5とiPhone6で使用してます。TVはSHARPのLC-32H11（32型）で、WiFiはUQWiMAX2+です。 主にhulu、Gyao、youtubeを観ますが、とても快適です。Gyaoの有料動画のみ途中で突っかかる可能性が高いんですが、これはおそらくGyao側またはWiFi側の問題でしょう。 恐縮ながら低評価の場合はデバイスや通信についての情報を明記されると良いかと。。

Used to work but now doesnt. Sometimes the audio connects but not the pictures. Shame.

This app used to work like a charm. Now, I cant get the app to detect my chromecast device. And when it does, it goes out immediately. Disappointment.

Im surprised that so many people cant work or do not understand a user-friendly, straight-forward, solid app. Ive had my Chromecast since launch, before it sold out and was on back-order. Ive also had every iteration of the app; from the original Chromecast app to this, newer replacement. So, why is this a great app? Simply put, it works. And it works well. The main tab is simple. Has some featured videos in a side scroller and then lists the apps/services you currently have that are compatible with Chromecast. Middle tab is for "Devices". If you have more than one this is where you can select the device to use and also change the backdrop images. Last tab lists all the apps that are compatible. Simple. And each tab retains a Google powered search bar for finding something fast. I cant figure out why the one-star reviewers cant operate this. Ive tried to make their mistakes and I just cant do it. Its possible they didnt do the initial setup for the Chromecast by linking it to their network. Thats possible. Your phone will recognize the device but nothing would happen if you select it for a video because it doesnt have permission to actually use or move data through the network. The app only sees it because its physically present and is powered on. Or possibly they didnt realize the little screencast button needs to be pushed in apps like YouTube, Netflix, et al. All in all, this app is a huge improvement over the original. Its faster on video startup and resuming from being paused. Having the apps tab allows me to quickly see if new apps become Chromecast capable. And being able to have a tab just for managing my device is easier than the old way; in the past you needed to log in to google and then open their page in a browser. All in all, this is one of only a few apps that have become more simple and better performing every successive generation. Totally pleased and for legitimate reasons. If you can work a toaster you can do this. Ignore the 1 Star reviews. 1) Follow directions for linking it to your wifi. 2) Get app 3) ???? 4) Profit

THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO WATCH NETFLIX ON YOUR TV IN YOUR OWN ROOM!! My boyfriend got me this and I love it, now we can watch our show together

Why isnt there a separate pop-up screen so that I can log into hotel wifi??

When it works, it is amazing. That is, until it doesnt work which is all the time - completely frustrating and embarrassing when people are over. Therefore, because of the crappy app and terrible online support to troubleshoot an issue, I will have to give it one star until they fix it to perform more consistently.

I love my chrome cast and I realized I couldnt get it to cast today and so I reset it but it didnt work I was told my iPhone and chrome cast couldnt communicate so now I cant stream on it what a waste. Plz fix soon Google or I will have to go with another company and stop referring chrome cast to my friends and family
