I randomly couldnt connect to Chromecast recently and discovered it was due to a router setting. I just disabled my routers guest option and it fixed everything.

This is one if the worst experiences ever We left cable and put chrome cast on 3 tvs in the house. We all have smart devices that have the app on them and 1 or more of the CC devices will stop showing up for no reason. Rebooting is a part of our daily viewing experience and it does not always work. They will magically show back up from time to time though:( Do not buy this if you want consistent and reliable performance - we hate it!! If we could give 0 stars we would.

Brutal. Suddenly stopped connecting from several of my devices. Please fix this!

None of the apps has the cast icon. I tried rebooting and setting up device three times. What a waste of money to buy the chromecast.

Nothing has changed with my setup EXCEPT the app update and now I cant cast and get this message after factory resetting the cast dongle: "... may be set up but we cannot communicate with it from your iPhone. This may require a small change to your Wi-Fi settings." #fail

I wish you guys would update the mirroring for my tablet and iPhone it works for like a second on my tablet but thats it . PLEASE FIX THIS (tablet 3 )

After the last two updates my chromecast does not work. I have tried resetting it, removing it from my devices and putting it back (which also doesnt work because the "temporary wifi" never shows up)

You guys need to add fox sports go and other sports streaming apps to your casting abilities

The last 2 updates, I was not able to cast my movies. The app is different interface as well that i cannot edit/remove device. Please fix this asap.

My Chromecast was working fine before the last few updates but now it refuses to work at all. Ive tried troubleshooting the device on multiple occasions but it still refuses to work. Was hoping this update would help to to fix the issue but it still isnt working.

Sometimes it works, but I find myself resetting or rebooting it daily. Very frustrating.

Pretty good you should let us watch movies on this app instead of giving us other sites to watch it on lol

My chromecast used to work fine but now because the new updates and the new chromecast it has refused to work and we cannot watch Tv and see the chromecast signal.

I absolutly loved my Chromecast until it stopped casting after the latest update. Ive tried resetting and rebooting, but nothing is working.

The recent updates have broken my ability to cast from ANY of my cast-enabled apps. I cant even cast from Chrome. Please fix this or give me a refund for the brick attached to my TV.

The last update stopped working with Amazon Video and a few other streaming apps. Also needed to completely reboot my chromecast. Garbage.

The app keeps on crashing and does not let me cast anything! I cant even open the app at all. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times and it still does not open.

Wish I could watch Amazon prime thru it

From working about half the time to none at all. Really wish I had bought a roku instead. Just keeps getting worse!

Constant wifi issues with the router five feet away. Spend the extra money on any of the other ones (Amazon, apple TV, etc) Terrible.
