Awesome

Great

Google Home

It doesn’t seem to be able to answer a lot of questions. It is all in the wording, ask google on my IPad and it will answer the same question .

Overall good

Sometimes buggy and some apps crash when linking to google home

App is really clunky to use

Why do I have to go through the assistant app to do basic settings tweaks on the home? The two apps need to be combined.

So slow

Incredibly slow. Struggles to connect with smart devices like lighting.

This ducking blows.

I hate google Chromecast. Do yourself a favor and get a Roku.

Harmony not so much

First off I have to say I do really like the idea google home but there seems to be some compatibility issues with the software on iOS devices and harmony from logitech when I try to configure my Harmony device to be authorized on the Google Home I can’t seem to click pair

ALWAYS CRASHING

Every 2-3 hrs of me streaming.. it always reboots itself I’m tired of this version honestly need a better one

Keeps logging me out !!

Leave it alone for a hour and I have to start the whole set up process again.. ANNOYING!!

Can’t connect my apps to my tv!!!!

Just resonantly today I wasn’t able to connect my YouTube or my Netflix to my tv. I don’t know if it’s the new updated version of the IOS (IOS 11) but only 2 weeks ago it was working perfectly fine. If someone can contact me or have any suggestions on how to fix it let me know immediately.

Wont find devices after following instructions

Add devices doesnt work properly. It adds two or more of the same rooms and you cant move them to a different room.

I miss Roku

Google tv is glitchy and annoying!!!

Lots confusing to common user

Lot of confusion using this app features though it’s improved quietly from months. User confused with overwhelming features thrown this app.

Locked out

Listen Google. I own two Google Homes. I have an iPhone running iOS 9.03 but in your infinite wisdom I now open the Google Home app and it says I cannot use it because I must perform an update. It takes me to the App Store whereupon I cannot download any update presumably because you require 9.1 or greater. How is it good business to force an app update on someone with a perfectly good app that cannot update but is now locked out? Please fix the problem.

Inconsistent in how ui works (Chromecast)

Can’t go back or forward with YouTube videos. Other apps cast through Chromecast have all sorts of issues. Can’t start where I left off, sometimes app loses control over video, if I push for a longtime it doesn’t go to an idle screen (fear of damaging tv). The app for cg feels too “loose” and the functions are not logical or easy to learn. Too many quirks.

Cant control my Philips Hue bulbs anymore!

Cant control my Philips Hue bulbs anymore!

Glitchy

Keeps replying sorry have a glitch try again. Also stopped recognizing vivint commands Constantly ignores my voice commands. Sometimes hears google commercials on TV and reacts. ReAdy to toss. Easier to do things manually.

Meh

It always disconnects from WiFi and then you have to start all over again. It won’t connect to Nest thermostat. When you try to sync it again, google assistant returns a blank screen and it isn’t connected still. Worst purchase ever. These types of quirks are exactly why I would never go full google for anything, ever. Frustrating at best

Log in just to use my Chromecast?

I have enough things to log in to, my Chromecast app doesnt need to be one of them. Ill just use the features on my smart TV instead. Its a shame, I used to love these things.

Alexa Smart Home is Better

I used to think Amazon’s Alexa Smart Skills was bad...but the amount of problems with Google Home’s “Smart Home” section is unacceptable. You can’t delete rooms and when you try to move something to another room, nothing happens.
