The app crashes every time I try to link my contacts to the google home app

This app is awful. Can’t seem to find my devices a majority of the time and when it finally does, it keeps losing them. Horrible upgrade.

Google chrome cast used to be so simple but now it’s impossible. I don’t know or care which account it was set up under, I just want to cast from my kids iPad to the tv. This isn’t rocket science and good screwed it up with ‘google home’.

Does not work for IOS 8.4.1 and below. Used to work but no more, older version not available. Dam this cruel app system, why thou Google hate us.

It makes you subscribe to other channels just to use it. In addition, it doesn’t support Amazon or Netflix. If it does than the app doesn’t allow for an easy connection with it.

Works like a charm. Great sound

It’s great when it feels like working and terrible when it doesn’t. It disconnects, gets buggy and simply stops connecting to your Chrome device.

Ive fully automated my home thanks to this app and the Google Home.

Every time I attempt to use it, there are network issues! Not sure what’s going on but it not very user friendly and i am fairly tech savvy!

As a Chromecast owner, I am glad the Chromecast app was merged into an app I would open more than once ever. It actually looks useful now! On the other hand, the app wanted to discover a mystery device via Bluetooth in order to begin using the app. It didn’t find it since I only own an older Chromecast, but then I had to guess in the options if I chose the right prompt to start the Chromecast setup wizard. Very confusing. This app also is not very clear from the title/description that it is the new official Chromecast app. Seemed more like the equivalent app for Google Home devices only. I love that I can manage all the Google devices, but geez, make it more obvious!

I watch all my favorite show with this I have bought 3 friend this as gift they love it.

The settings are distributed in about 10 different places. Its very hard to find any one particular setting – you have to pin the tail on the donkey to try to find any particular setting. When trying to assign my phone number for caller ID, it cannot send a code to verify my phone – it says: "something went wrong, try again" and it says this again and again and again and again. Rebooting the device does not help.

Tv stopped casting. Link wont hook back up to it. Reset thinking it was network error but nope now it can locate the tv but it cannot pickup the four digit code. Dumbest system yet. Go full smart tv. Stay far away from this.
