Why would anyone need or want this device? It does nothing that isnt already done by some other more powerful and convenient device. And then theres the listening. . .

Why can’t I link it to my computer

It takes forever to setup and then the images and streaming video is so choppy that it is NOT watchable. I have the maximum download speed in my area and this is useless

Google has the best products Ive ever used!! Along side the Google home mini & my chrome casts I can control all my media with just my voice and it works perfectly every time. Thanks google!

Shouldnt have to feel like youre hacking into a program to make it work! Would give a 0 Star if possible.

Can be very frustrating When it works you can actually watch television but usually you cannot connect to it from device. Are usually I mean 50 percent plus of the time

The firestick is better

I would like to express our delight and gratitude with the Google Home Mini! None of the reviews I have read to date have commented on its ability to hang-up on a phone call. This may not seem very important to most of us but to my brother, who was rendered a quadriplegic many years ago, it is life changing! We have been searching for something with this capability for a very long time. He can now call for assistance and if the line is busy or no one answers - he can hang-up - and he can do all this by voice commands. He doesn’t have to rely on his sip and puff (which is often not where he needs it) or others for assistance. This is only one way the mini is marvellous - but for us - it is GOLD, thank you! Also - we got one for my 88 year old father, who lives on his own - it keeps him on time, gives him company and is a great safety device (and it gives me peace of mind). - every senior should have one! My old Chromecast app was great. Phone is updated, new app does not work. Now $30 Chromecast device is useless.

Chromecast & Chromecast Audio to often disconnects. I have to reboot them before I use them.

I connected 2 users to Google Home but it couldn’t tell us apart. After days of trying so hard to figure it out, I finally found the problem. One user’s phone is in French while the other is in English. The French version of Google Home, it turns out, has fewer functionalities than the English version. The problem was resolved after I converted one user to English. However, the proper solution is for the French and English versions of the app to be exactly the same.

I can’t figure out how to screen mirror on iPad or iPhone to my tv. I can only cast with cast enabled apps. This shouldn’t be so hard.

First review I’ve written. After comparing this useless contraption to Amazon, I don’t know how I got talked into google in the first place. Google home and mini are just one big headache!

Struggling to set it up

Google has the best voice recognition. But my main use is whole home audio. And Google performs poorly. My devices pop in and out of my Google home app...I cant control many of the devices in each group. If I reboot my wifi it works for a while... Then stops. Its not the wifi, signal is strong, this is a known problem to google.

I swear the dev team tried to make the least intuitive and confusing UI possible. It’s more difficult to navigate than it is to exit VIM.
