Does everything I need and more! Best app ever!

The google home is very good, but the app doesn’t do too much.

I have an issue with the Google assistant being able to read my Google Calendar on the iPhone 8. The customer service representative was totally unable to provide assistance. Will exchange the device for the Amazon Dot, which always installs flawlessly (and has great customer support!).

it’s rare when all of my devices properly show up on the Home app. The iPhone X support is nice, but my new Chromecast doesn’t (v2) doesn’t ever show up on this app, and I have to factory reset it each time I want it to work. It’s kinda nuts. Yes, I’m making sure I’m connected to the same network as the Chromecast itself. I recently connected my OG v1 Chromecast to the TV and it seems slightly more reliable; not sure why. Also, my Google Home Mini always shows up as a “linked device” under another unrelated device - and it presents these devices differently on different devices on the same network. It’s so messed up. Google Home Mini is like chromecast - a couple of “half-a**” devices that are barely competent.

Makes me want to switch back to android! Apple’s HomePod better be dope.

I really like the Google home, it’s changing how my family interact. I do wish it would execute the commands between the Harmony hud without always asking or telling me it is connecting to it. It should act more like a central hub.

I have no idea why a company like google needs to create this labyrinth. So many hoops to jump through before I was able to get my simple google Home mini setup to perform simple tasks.

I love the app. The only reason I gave it 4 stars cause I switched to iPhone and cant screen mirror now.

I HAVE NEVER HAD AN APP THAT CRASHES SO QUICKLY

Tried Google Home and Google Assistant. Initial setup easy. Then trouble. Lots of trouble. Had major electrical outage. Had set up Google Home again and again. Then speaker would not recognize name. Tried again and again without success. Had lots of help from Google help but without success. I could repeat this but one might thing it was an Echo. Returned Google hone.

Love it proud owner of a new google home mini got one for my brother for a Christmas present to it goes with my new vizio 2017 chromecast smart cast tv the E55 series I love it all and the apps are perfect and I love my google it’s perfect for me and my every day needs!! Thank you google inventing the best smart device ever keep up the great work

Not intuitive, clunky and doesn’t work well well with many apps at all. Pointless to purchase the chromecast box and app. Get an apple tv

Every day, I have to unplug my Google Home Mini to reset the thing. It keep getting there is a glitch, or something went wrong, try again in a few seconds. The few seconds seems to be forever. I get more then good enough wifi n this room. It has no problem streaming music when its working. But these daily unplugging to reboot? While Im a homekit house, I also wanted to play around with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Well so far, its a fail. When its working, its been working good, but rebooting daily to get it working again is a fail.

This app is pretty much useless. Chromecast should have stayed in its own separate app instead of going to Google home. Hasnt worked properly in months. Still cant get anything to cast properly. Useless at this point.

So the latest update removed the multiple Calendar settings. I am from Canada, so it might have something to do with that. Dont update to the latest version if you want to keep this feature.

No settings button on the app. Poorly designed app layout.

The google home mini was easy to set up but I wish it would connect with my contacts on my iPhone.
