Is Chromecast actually a Google product? Or Google Home the 3rd-party product?
Google Home app seems to find my 2 Chromecast sticks, only after I use another casting app (Netflix works best; better than YouTube) to cast just a few seconds of video.
But, despite 2 Chromecast devices on my network, the Google Home app only recognizes the one to which I just cast. The Netflix app, however, recognizes both; before and after casting.
The quirks continue...
If I then use the Google Home app to reboot the Chromecast recognized with assistance from Netflix, when the reboot process completes, both my Chromecast devices are recognized by Google Home. And, the Home app will continue to recognize both Chromecast devices for at least... 60 seconds.
If I havent begun casting with another app by then (especially YouTube and Google Play), I must return to Netflix; repeat the process; or, hot-stop the Chromecast device.
Are the Netflix app developers actually more familiar with your product than you are? Because they seem to be. Perhaps they could give Googles developers a code review. Otherwise, Google should get a license from Netflix for their casting code. That way, Googles apps will work as well as Netflix, with Google Chromecast.
