This is the least reliable system I’ve ever used. Such a waste of time and money. But an Apple TV instead

I use this app to control and setup groups of chrome cast audio devices. Its ridiculous but in a group the button to control the relative volume of each speaker simply doesnt work. The android version works fine, but on iOS, in different devices, no luck.. the button is there but nothing happens when you tap it. The previous version worked fine, and for months now this version is missing the functionality.

I love google home. It worked for three weeks. Now it won’t play Spotify songs. That’s why I bought it. Now I am sad.

Recently my google home has not been playing songs from my Spotify and I don’t understand why that’s happening. It’s really annoying and frustrating.

Everything in my house was working beautifully except the stupid Google speakers kept saying please reconnect and read link your account so I start to do that now nothing works nothing will hook back up it was fine the way it was screw your update I am going to switch to Alexa

What a bunch of hooey that gmail is making some sort of listing of the voices recorded on home with some nefarious agenda. Get a grip some time after you get a life.

There is absolutely no guidance when you first install the app. You have to fumble around until you figure it out. I’m done though.. deleting the app

I use the google home app because I have a chrome cast and I would never buy another google product based on how it works, and as time goes on it’s gotten so bad that it’s gotten to the point that I’ll be going out to buy a roku instead, tomorrow. Only Netflix integrates reliably with my chromecast anymore, occasionally Hulu works and all other streaming apps do not work at all.

It worked well with my Chromecast for about a year. Then I had a power outage. Now no such luck. Completed factory reset on Chromecast and completed all the steps. The TV screen reads “ready to cast” however none of my apps display the “cast” icon. Chromecast or app never ask for my WiFi password. It should not be this difficult. NOT A GOOGLE FAN!

Not to be trusted. Also can’t keep a connection. App often won’t see any of the 4 tv’s attached until I go through the settings and view connected devices. Very very slow. Can’t stream well. Not a patch on AppleTV. Chromecast is abysmal, just abysmal.

Plays music though and tells me the weather. But doesn’t control anything.

All in all google home is good and works with home automation. But it does not work with my Schlage smart locks. Also when connecting to Spotify or any music app. My voice is not recognized to turn off the music. Would have to say “Hey Google” several times and sometimes I would have to manually go into the google home app to turn it off. It’s a hit or miss with voice recognition. Google home might hear you over the music or might not hear you at all. I turned on the settings where it should only recognize my voice only, but when my daughter or niece says “Hey Google” their voice is also recognized. Unsure how that works. When I bought google home and setup google home for the first time google home told me setup my voice on the app. You would think if you go through that setup it should only recognize your voice and not others. But no, google home recognizes other people’s voices also.

Wandering all over the place trying to connect chromecast with no success

Chrome cast is incredibly unreliable. I constantly have to set it up again and it stops working every other day
